Ted Rohr

Dr. Ted Rohr is currently Director of Research Ethics & Compliance Support at UNSW Sydney, Australia, and responsible for the University’s operations of research involving humans, animals, gene technology, radiation, controlled goods and technology, drones and quarantine. Prior to this, Dr Rohr established comprehensive research integrity, governance and ethics frameworks at La Trobe University and RMIT University in Melbourne. He is closely involved with regulators in the development of national Codes and guidelines and presents on the topics of research integrity and ethics at national and international conferences, with a primary interest in effective, fair and informed regulatory systems. Dr Rohr still pursues his academic background and publishes in the fields of evolution and conservation biology. At the same time, he is actively involved in public discussions on ethical issues, for example those around privacy and the use of digital photography in medical practice and research, as recently published in The Conversation.
